Today, ninety percent of American households possess a television and the average American home has more television sets than people. The average daily viewing time per adult in the United States is 4. In the United States, most television viewing is done alone.
With that being said, the child needs to be at least two. Regardless of content, children should not watch more than an hour of television each day. I watched TV before the age of two and I seem to be all right. Sport watchers also love watching TV, doing the sport season.
These studies also say that watching violence on TV it causes aggressiveness, increased heart rate, fear, discomfort, perspiration, and disgust. There are different side of the studies one says that the media who market the violence like video games argue it is safe entertainment and the others say it just promote the violence for the children who…. One of the most powerful consequences of watching violent TV programs it is brings fearfulness and anxiety to young people in the way of many times makes them less confident and more fearful due to the idea that they overwrites in their minds and thinking, like watching horror and crime actions, violent TV show and war and battlefield movies Wilson,b. And this kind of problem leaves negative effect by losing trust and confidence with people around, and sometimes leads them to imitate those action that they have seen in the movies, and crime shows. However, this effect will remain for whole life and it will be a habit when they became an adult.
Television is the dominant source of amusement for present day American children. As a mother, I refuse to allow a television set to give my son a real world education. Parents, we must take a stand and control the way our youth views media to allow for a positive and healthy childhood.
