If you've been keeping track of the white-knuckle roller coaster ride that has been unfolding over the first three seasons of Netflix's pitch-black crime drama Ozark, you know no one on the show has had it particularly easy.
We all love the hit Netflix series Ozarks. And in season two, Wyatt was looking at a vintage copy of his favorite book, whereupon Charlotte stole it unbeknownst to him. But when she gave it to him, he was mad that she would put herself at jeopardy by stealing the book. Essentially, it is a coming of age type novel, but it is written in a very dense and advanced prose that may be more apt to adults than actual young adults.
The Byrdes have to deal with their business being shut down and controlled by inspectors in the third episode of "Ozark". There is a slow building towards a momentum that I'm eagerly waiting for it to happen. The beginning of the episode is pretty bleak, but it also felt so graphic even if the viewer doesn't see what actually happens; Senator Blake, the one Charlie Wilkes convinced not to show up at the vote for the casino bill, kills himself in his office.
Ozark season 2 episode 3 kicks off with a literal bang. When Senator Blake, the last hold-out on the casino bill, is questioned by a reporter about why he skipped out on voting, he escapes to his office. As the reporter bickers outside with his secretary, Blake shoots himself behind closed doors. Wendy meets with Wilkes about the news. Wilkes explains that all he had on Blake was his secret history of clinical depression.
