Hypertrophic osteoarthropathy is a medical condition combining clubbing and periostitis of the small hand joints, especially the distal interphalangeal joints and the metacarpophalangeal joints. Distal expansion of the long bones as well as painful, swollen joints  and synovial villous proliferation are often seen. The condition may occur alone primary , or it may be secondary to diseases like lung cancer. Among patients with lung cancer, it is most associated with adenocarcinoma and least associated with small cell lung cancer.

Temporomandibular joint dysfunction TMD , TMJD is an umbrella term covering pain and dysfunction of the muscles of mastication the muscles that move the jaw and the temporomandibular joints the joints which connect the mandible to the skull. The most important feature is pain, followed by restricted mandibular movement,  and noises from the temporomandibular joints TMJ during jaw movement. Although TMD is not life-threatening, it can be detrimental to quality of life ;  this is because the symptoms can become chronic and difficult to manage. In this article, the term temporomandibular disorder is taken to mean any disorder that affects the temporomandibular joint, and temporomandibular joint dysfunction here also abbreviated to TMD is taken to mean symptomatic e. However, there is no single, globally accepted term or definition  concerning this topic. TMD is a symptom complex rather than a single condition, and it is thought to be caused by multiple factors. There are many treatments available,  although there is a general lack of evidence for any treatment in TMD, and no widely accepted treatment protocol.
Many decades after fluoride was first added to drinking water in some parts of the United States, there is still controversy about the possible health effects of drinking water fluoridation.
